Inflammation was present in metabolic syndrome rats, supported by high levels of serum TNF-α (96.88 ± 15.02 pg/mL) and IL-6 (21.38 ± 4.02 pg/mL) compared to control rats (TNF-α: 38.30 ± 8.25 pg/mL, 6.44 ± 1.50 pg/mL) (p < 0.05, Figure 4E,F). Here, TNF is linked to metabolic syndrome.
