GPX4 and hepatocellular carcinoma: Figure 7C shows the changes in the body weight of the mice during the experiment. As shown in Figure 7D,E, during the treatment period, both 5-FU and FM significantly inhibited the growth of subcutaneous xenograft tumors, demonstrating a concentration-dependent effect. The results of HE staining also demonstrate the inhibitory effect of FM on HCC (Figure 7F). IHC results indicated that FM could downregulate the expression of proliferation markers Ki67 and PCNA, as well as the ferroptosis marker GPX4 (Figure 7G).
