Further expression analysis of these seven genes (AURKA, BRCA1, ISG15, NUSAP1, OAS1, RSAD2, TLR7) showed that their expression levels were generally higher in the experimental (simple steatosis [SS], metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis [MASH], Case) than in the control (Control) group in the GSE95849 and GSE89632 datasets (Fig 2C-2E). Here, OAS1 is linked to metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis.
