Since its validation as an oncogene, the overexpression of GOLPH3 mRNA and protein has been reported in a variety of solid tumors [11,12] and has been correlated with clinical progression and a poor prognosis in breast cancer, lung cancer, prostate cancer, esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), oral tongue cancer, pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, and glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) [13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22]. The gene discussed is GOLPH3; the disease is lung carcinoma.
