Of note, the keratin genes, including KRT8 and KRT19, were found to be enriched in PCa cell lines from African American men compared to those from European American men, representing biomarkers with potential benefit for these patients [67]; a fact that highlights the difficulty of finding one or a few markers that can work for all cases and the need to analyze as many cases as possible to identify a multi-biomarker panel.
