CRP and major depressive disorder: Individuals diagnosed with depression at follow-up were older (42.10±8.76versus41.22±8.97 years, p=0.033) and had higher levels of ultrasensitive C-reactive protein (0.3±0.5versus0.2±0.4mg/dL, p=0.007) and uric acid (0.95±0.40versus0.94±0.16mg/dL, p=0.002) compared to those without depression at follow-up.
