ZVI‐NP exerts its anticancer effects through a dual mechanism: first, it is by inducing iron death in cancer cells:ZVI‐NP induces iron death in lung cancer cells by inducing mitochondrial dysfunction, intracellular ZVI‐NP induces iron death in lung cancer cells by inducing mitochondrial dysfunction, intracellular oxidative stress, and lipid peroxidation: ZVI‐NP triggers iron death by activating GSK3β/β‐TrCP‐dependent NRF2 degradation through the AMPK/mTOR signaling pathway. This evidence concerns the gene MTOR and lung carcinoma.
