In accordance with our functional observation of reduced invasiveness of miR‐29c‐3p‐transfected endometriotic cells, a significant upregulation of its target genes CDK6, p21 (CDKN1), PTEN, TCF7L1, TCF7L2, COL4A2, and N‐Cadherin was detected in lesions of deep endometriosis compared to control endometrium. The gene discussed is COL4A2; the disease is endometriosis.
