On the other hand, ATTR amyloidosis develops from the aggregation of either native, called senile systemic amyloidosis, or variant TTR protein, referred to as familial amyloidosis, manufactured by the liver of individuals with mutations in the TTR gene, of which more than 100 single nucleotide polymorphisms and 80 confirmed mutations have been elucidated [4]. This evidence concerns the gene TTR and hereditary amyloidosis.
