We are also the first to link this disrupted MCC to clinical parameters: reduced eosinophil BMAL1 and REV ERBα/β appear sensitive to airflow obstruction, low CLOCK and RORα/β are associated with allergic asthma, and a lack of circadian variation of BMAL1 and CLOCK was observed in patients with high FeNO level, indicating active eosinophilic asthma. The gene discussed is BMAL1; the disease is allergic asthma.
