MTOR and cervical carcinoma: Propofol inhibits activation of the mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR)/p70S6K pathway (Zhang et al., 2015) and modulates the HOTAIR/miR-129-5p/ribosomal protein L14 (RPL14) axis (Sun et al., 2021) by decreasing HOTAIR expression, which subsequently inhibits the growth of cervical cancer cells.
