TLR4 and rheumatoid arthritis: Targeting integrin αvβ3 with small molecules and antibodies reduced synovial inflammation and bone destruction, suggesting that integrin αvβ3 is a potential therapeutic target for RA.45 These data suggested that LEL-Fc may have synergistic therapeutic effects on RA by simultaneously targeting integrin αvβ3 and TLR4 signaling to suppress the production of inflammatory cytokines and chemokines, thereby alleviating inflammatory responses, severe tissue destruction, and bone damage.
