Rearrangements of genes MYC and BCL2 and/or BCL6 was formerly termed “double-hit” or “triple-hit” (DH/TH) and are detected in 2–8% of all DLBCL cases [13,19], whereas now the fifth WHO-HAEM5 classification has renamed it as “diffuse large B-cell lymphoma/high-grade B-cell lymphoma with MYC and BCL2 rearrangements” (DLBCL/HGBL-MYC/BCL2) [17]. Here, MYC is linked to B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
