The MYND domain of RACK7 interacts with the Nucleosome Remodeling and Deacetylase Complex‌‌ (NuRD) , which participates in the DNA damage response and regulation of transcription.[10] RACK7 also interacts with Lysine Demethylase 5C (KDM5C), a histone demethylase of H3K4me3, to suppress enhancer overactivation and contribute to breast cancer.[11] Finally, RACK7 works with the H3K4 demethylase Lysine Demethylase 5D (KDM5D) and antagonizes the expression of metastasis‐linked genes in prostate cancer cells.[7]. The gene discussed is KDM5D; the disease is breast cancer.
