As previously reported, testosterone stimulation of GPRC6A can activate ERK and mTOR signaling in prostate cancer cells and HEK‐293 cells overexpressing GPRC6A.[50, 51] Given the discrepancies in phenotypes observed across various GPRC6A knockout mouse strains, it is likely that the response of GPRC6A to its ligands varies depending on the cell type.[26, 52] Further research is needed to clarify how GPRC6A signaling impacts different cell types. The gene discussed is MTOR; the disease is prostate carcinoma.
