AFP and hepatitis B virus infection: Among the 189 patients, the median age was 52 years. Of these, 114 (60.3%) had an ECOG score of 0, 161 (85.2%) had Child Pugh scores of 5, 34 (18.0%) had BCLC stage B, 149 (78.8%) had extrahepatic metastasis, 167 (88.4%) had hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection, 92 (48.7%) had A‐fetoprotein (AFP) ≥ 400 ng/mL, and 37 (19.6%) had lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) > 1 upper limit of normal (ULN).
