The presence of autoantibodies targeting cytokines has been noted in various infectious diseases: anti-interferon-α antibodies in severe SARS-CoV-2 infection [21]; anti-interferon-γ antibodies in tuberculosis [22] and anti-IL17A/IL-17 F/IL-22 in chronic mucocutaneous candidiasis [23]. Here, IL17A is linked to chronic mucocutaneous candidiasis.
