Indeed, extracellular exosomes (i.e., L1CAM positive [19, 68]) were consistently enriched pathways in agreement with our previous BAR studies [27], suggesting that αsyn aggregates in synucleinopathy brain partly resemble exosomes and supporting the hypothesis that αsyn/αsyn aggregates can spread via exosomes [11, 15, 34, 63]. The gene discussed is L1CAM; the disease is synucleinopathy.
