The identification of ITGB4 and genes composing its matrix-resident ligand laminin 5 (LN5: LAMA3, B3, C2) as fDEGs in invasive cells and as central components of the invGRN offers molecular insight into our initial description of an EGFR-EMT signature-derived risk score for HNSCC comprising ITGB4 [11]. This evidence concerns the gene LAMA3 and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
