Testosterone-treated human granulosa cell lines, mimicking PCOS hyperandrogenism, exhibit pryoptotic characteristics with increased caspase-1 expression, N-terminal fragment of Gasdermin D (N-GSDMD), along with significant upregulation of inflammation-related genes (NLRP3, NF-κB, IL-1β) and proteins (NLRP3, IL-1β, IL-18). This evidence concerns the gene NLRP3 and polycystic ovary syndrome.
