CD8A and neoplasm: Nevertheless, the three correlative analyses concerning CD8+ T-cell subgroups performed in CANOPY-1 samples (total CD8 count in tumor samples, T-cell phenotype, and inflamed T-cell gene signature) showed a trend for canakinumab benefit in patients with features indicative of reduced CD8+ T-cell infiltration, supporting the hypothesis that patients whose tumors have a low CD8+ T-cell infiltration may benefit from the addition of IL-1β inhibition to ICIs.
