In our review, research performingactivation of the dPAG area assessed the effects of brain-derived neurotrophicfactor (BDNF) and tyrosine receptor kinase B (TrkB) signaling in the PD model.Results demonstrated that BDNF panicolytic-like effects occur viaγ-Aminobutyric acid type A (GABAA) -dependentmechanisms and that the tyrosine receptor kinase family is not only implicated inthe dPAG area [31]. Here, BDNF is linked to Parkinson disease.
