CD8A and non-small cell lung carcinoma: Given that obese NSCLC patients have higher glycolytic metabolism than normal weight NSCLC patients (Figure 3) and tumor-infiltrating CD8+ T cells had higher intracellular lactate levels (Figures 2C, D), then we wanted to know if tumor cells secreted excessive lactate through glycolytic metabolism to promote T cell PD-1 upregulation.
