When lncRNA-NEAT1 is knocked down, the expression of proliferation antigen Ki-67, DNA methyltransferase 1 (DNMT1) and mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) are decreased, but the expression of miR-185-5p is increased, indicating that lncRNA-NEAT1 is a ceRNA of miR-185-5p, which can promote the expression of DNMT1 and activate mTOR signal, thus stopping apoptosis and encouraging glioma metastasis, growth, and shifting between epithelial and mesenchymal cells. Here, DNMT1 is linked to glioma.
