In xenografts, CD3+ T28zT2 T cells, CD4+ T28zT2 T cells, and CD3+ M28zT2 T cells significantly inhibited the growth of AsPc-1, a pancreatic cancer cell line characterized by high TGF-β1 and MSLN expression (Figures S4J and S4K), compared to CD8+ T28zT2 T cells, CD3+ 1928zT2 T, cells or PBS treatment, none of which exhibited antitumor effects (Figure 3A). The gene discussed is TGFB1; the disease is familial pancreatic carcinoma.
