Levatinib mesylate can inhibit tumor angiogenesis by binding to tyrosine kinase ATP to inactivate tyrosine kinase and reduce the content of VEGF that is dependent on the VEGFR-2 pathway.11 Furthermore, levatinib mesylate also directly inhibits the proliferation of liver cancer cells, and the inhibitory effect is positively correlated to the concentration of VEGFR-2 in the cells. Here, KDR is linked to liver cancer.
