Interestingly, knockout of Angptl4 in adipose tissue yielded metabolic phenotypes similar to those resulting from G0s2 ablation, including enhanced LPL activity, rapid clearance of circulating TGs, and increased FA oxidation, thereby preventing excessive ectopic lipid deposition in the liver and reducing hypertriglyceridemia (15, 17, 22).
