(ORM1) has been shown to be upregulated in the serum of breast cancer patients (44); and elevated urinary ORM1 has been suggested as a useful biomarker for bladder cancer (45), ORM1 also plays a key role in hepatocellular carcinoma development and may be a potential target for future development of therapeutic agents against HCC (46). This evidence concerns the gene ORM1 and urinary bladder cancer.
