The stromal cell-derived factor-1 (CXCL12/SDF-1) facilitates the accumulation of neutrophils expressing high levels of CD15 in CRC tumors, in which case, CD8+ T cells produce high levels of Granzyme K, subsequently diminishing E-cadherin on the intestinal epithelium and promotes tumor progression (76). Here, CXCL12 is linked to colorectal carcinoma.
