DSP and familial dilated cardiomyopathy: A recent study highlighted a particular nonischemic pattern known as ring-like LGE,defined as involvement of the subepicardial or mid-wall layer in at least threecontiguous left ventricle (LV) segments in the same short-axissection(2).Originally, ring-like LGE was described in cardiomyopathies with desmoplakin andfilamin-C gene variants, although it has also been documented in arrhythmogeniccardiomyopathy (ACM) and dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) associated with othervariants(2,3,4,5).
