In contrast, genetically elevated LDL-C (OR 1.079, 95% CI 1.012–1.150, P = 0.0249, I2 = 55.96%), CRP (OR 1.018, 95%CI 1.005–1.031, P = 0.0163, I2 = 22.45%), and short telomeres (OR 1.100, 95% CI 1.005–1.204, P = 0.0413, I2 = 66.17%) were associated with an increasing risk of AD (Table 1 and Table S4).
