Consistent with previous reports36,37 showing that BCL2 inhibition may be relevant to the non-MYC-driven SCLC-A subtype, knockdown of BCL2 significantly reduced cell viability in Lu139SCLC-A cells (Fig. 7h) and induced apoptosis without affecting ASCL1 expression levels (Fig. 7i). Here, BCL2 is linked to small cell lung carcinoma.
