Eight cell populations including muscle stem cells (MuSCs) (PAX7), myoblasts (MYOD1, MYOG), myofibers (DMD, CAPN3), FAPs (PDGFRA, COL1A1, DCN), pericytes (RGS5, ACTA2), endothelial cells (PECAM1, TEK), myeloid cells (MRC1, CSF1R) and lymphoid cells (PTPRC) were identified based on the expression of specific marker genes (Table S2), the top 10 significant marker genes of each population were displayed, and proportion of lymphoid cells was higher in TB than in Duroc pig (p < 0.05) (Figure 1C–F). The gene discussed is MYOD1; the disease is tuberculosis.
