After adjusting for potential confounders, participants in the higher AIP quartiles (Q2, Q3, and Q4) had an increased risk of cognitive impairment compared to those in Q1 (Q2: OR: 1.45, 95% CI: 1.24–1.69, P < 0.001; Q3: OR: 1.63, 95% CI: 1.40–1.91, P < 0.001; Q4: OR: 1.68, 95% CI: 1.43–1.98, P < 0.001, respectively).
