The treatment of HIV-infected macrophages with P3DEX significantly increased the production of MIP-1α (84.48 ± 22 vs. 155 ± 40.4 pg/mL; p = 0.03), MIP-1β (208.14 ± 112 vs. 319.9 ± 131.2 pg/mL; p = 0.02), and CCL-5 (125.6 ± 26.54 vs. 198.53 ± 30.9 pg/mL; p = 0.02) 24 h post infection. This evidence concerns the gene CCL5 and infection.
