Regarding BMI classification, adiponectin levels were numerically higher in patients with normal weight vs. overweight/obesity at baseline [28.9 (18.5–36.5) vs. 23.2 (18.1–35.0); p = 0.46] and at 6 m [30.4 (20.6–42.9) vs. 23.0 (17.5–41.8); p = 0.30] without statistical significance.
