Previous reports on the involvement of SATB2 in various cancers indicated a cancer-specific role and expression of SATB2 [38], identifying either its tumor-promoting function and increased expression in some cancer types [4,7,8,9,10,11,12,13] or its tumor-suppressor role and decreased expression in others [4,14,15,16,17,18]. This evidence concerns the gene SATB2 and neoplasm.
