Consequently, we analyzed the dysregulated genes in the malignant cells across the four PLC phenotypes and discovered that several S100 family genes (S100A6, S100A11, and S100A2) were significantly upregulated in the malignant cells of ICC, whereas they were not in the other subtypes of HCC. The gene discussed is HSPG2; the disease is intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma.
