The cell stiffness, cytoskeleton/nuclear/morphology, and Yap activity rearrangements of non-metastatic breast cancer MCF7 cells upon EV treatment were assessed; the results suggest that TNBC-derived small EVs could directly induce a decrease in cell stiffness in MCF7 cells via rearrangements to the cytoskeleton, focal adhesions, and nuclear/cellular morphology, as well as augment Yap gene expression [72]. This evidence concerns the gene YAP1 and breast cancer.
