Jinglian Tao et al. reported decreased secretion of IFN-γ by peripheral CD8+ T cells from MDS patients and an increased frequency of PB CD8+TIM-3+ T cells compared to healthy controls, which displayed significantly lower levels of perforin and granzyme B compared to their CD8+TIM-3− counterparts [120]. Here, CD8A is linked to myelodysplastic syndrome.
