Although there is a study reported the elevation of serum IL-22 level in patients with acute anterior uveitis [56] along with findings of IL-22-producing CD4+ Th cells in ocular specimens from patients with Behçet’s disease [57], several studies suggest a lack of positive correlation between IL-22 levels and uveitis, reporting either no association or a negative one [58–60]. The gene discussed is CD4; the disease is uveitis.
