In the ERCB Nephrotic Syndrome TubInt database, we found that GNAI2 mRNA levels were significantly elevated (p = 5.41 × 10−5) in the renal tubulointerstitia of DN patients (n = 10) compared with health controls (n = 9) (Figure 2F), and there was a significantly negative correlation between the tubulointerstitial GNAI2 mRNA levels and glomerular filtration rates (GFRs) in DN patients (n = 8, p = 0.048, r = −0.712) (Figure 2G). The gene discussed is GNAI2; the disease is liver dysplastic nodule.
