As in numerous neoplasms, such as pancreatic cancer [16], prostate cancer [17], lung adenocarcinoma [18], and hepatocellular carcinoma [19], PTTG1 overexpression is connected with tumorigenesis progression and poor prognosis [20]; it constitutes a potential prognostic biomarker as well as a novel target for cancer therapy. This evidence concerns the gene PTTG1 and familial pancreatic carcinoma.
