Similarly, in a clinical trial on non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), baseline plasma levels of ICAM-1 were found to be prognostic for survival and predictive of response to chemotherapy with or without bevacizumab: indeed, low baseline levels of ICAM-1 were associated with better survival and better response to bevacizumab [123]. This evidence concerns the gene ICAM1 and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
