DSG3 and pemphigus: Pemphigus is a group of autoimmune bullous diseases that develop due to autoantibodies against desmosomal adhesion molecules (desmoglein (Dsg)1 and Dsg3) in the skin and mucosa.[1] Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays using recombinant Dsg3 and Dsg1 are widely used to detect circulating autoantibodies.
