NNAT and infection: Like in the in vivo experiments, infection of rat neurons with hp708 resulted in a robust upregulation of miR-708-5p levels (Fig. 4C) and led to significant reductions in Nnat mRNA (Fig. 4D), and protein levels (Figs. 4E,F and EV3C), demonstrating that miR-708-5p represses endogenous Nnat expression in neurons.
