In colorectal cancer (CRC) cell lines SW480, HT-29 and Caco2, miR-16 inhibits tumor proliferation and metastasis of tumor cells by restoring Sensitivity to Tyrosine Kinase inhibitors, and targeting the transcription of 3′ untranslated regions (3′ UTRs) of KRAS and inhibiting KRAS's expression. This evidence concerns the gene KRAS and colorectal cancer.
