Immunostaining of PDGFBwt–IDH1R132H and PDGFBwt–IDH1wt mice confirmed nuclear PDGFB was reduced in tumor cells when IDH1R132H was co-overexpressed with PDGFBwt whereas PDGFB was increased when IDH1wt was present; both IDH1wt and IDH1R132H variants could be found in the nucleus (Fig. 4g; Fig. S5c), which is consistent with prior reports documenting non-classical roles for biochemical enzymes in the nucleus52.
