Since an increase in ASC frequencies and a decrease in CD14+ myeloid cell frequencies appeared to best differentiate between CSF of MS versus MOGAD or other ADS patients (Fig. 3D, Supplementary Fig. 4B), we considered whether the ratio of ASC to CD14+ myeloid cell frequencies could be utilized to discriminate MS from MOGAD and other ADS, at the individual patient level. This evidence concerns the gene CD14 and myeloid sarcoma.
