To determine the effects of Plac1 on epithelial cells in HNSCC, we crossed Keratin 14 (K14) Cre/ERT2 mice (K14Cre‐ERT2) with Plac1f/f mice to generate K14Cre‐ERT2; Plac1f/f or Plac1f/‐ (Plac1‐conditional knockout, Plac1‐CKO) and K14Cre‐ERT2; Plac1W/W or Plac1W/− (Plac1‐wildtype, Plac1‐WT) mice[38] (Figure S7C,D, Supporting Information). The gene discussed is MAPK3; the disease is head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
